About
As a software engineer student who moved from Vietnam to the United States in 2018, I thrive on pushing boundaries and embracing challenges. With expertise in programming, web development, machine learning, computer vision, LLMs, and data analysis, I'm passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and create impactful solutions. My dedication to technology extends beyond work through my home lab, where I experiment with new technologies and configurations. Constantly seeking new opportunities to innovate, I believe that true growth happens outside our comfort zones, fueling my drive to make meaningful contributions.

I've worked on a variety of projects, from simple websites to complex web applications. Here are a few of my favorites.

Healthcare Correspondence LLM
Developed a custom Healthcare Correspondence Assistant using large language models to intelligently extract, filter, and summarize patient data from scanned records, reducing manual document review time by over 50% for hospitals and care providers. Processed and indexed more than 10,000 healthcare documents by integrating OCR pipelines, Chroma database, and Llama 2, enabling real-time retrieval of relevant data for clinicians and administrative staff through a streamlined query interface. Deployed and optimized the model using GPU-based inference on AWS, cutting average response times from 2.5 minutes to 15 seconds and improving query accuracy by 20%, while ensuring cost-efficient scalability for large healthcare systems.

Brain Tumor Detection Using Deep Learning
Developed an ensemble of machine learning models (InceptionV3, ResNet, VGG) achieving 95.6% accuracy for MRI-based brain tumor detection. Developed and fine-tuned an ensemble model combining multiple classifiers, demonstrating the potential of ensemble techniques in enhancing diagnostic accuracy
I like building things
During my time in university, I attended 2+ hackathons. People from around the country would come together and build incredible things in 2-3 days. It was eye-opening to see the endless possibilities brought to life by a group of motivated and passionate individuals.
